Wescott Trail Driveways Are Complete = Important Update

Regarding the new asphalt. You may park on Wescott Trail and the overflow lots immediately.

First, make sure NO-ONE parks on the new driveways until Sunday July 10. It is hot outside and the driveways need time to cure. Any repairs caused by parking too early will be at the owner’s expense. Even later would be preferred.

Second, you can drive on the driveway, starting Monday July 4th, only if you are driving directly in your garage. If you see someone that parks on the driveway, please inform them of the rules and notify me. I will have the vehicle towed. Do not rotate your steering wheels on the new asphalt.

Third, we are planning on resurfacing the street (Wescott Trail) on July 11 or soon after. Do not park on the Trail during this work.

Wescott Trail Driveway Paving

BitRoads will begin work on Monday, June 27th starting at 7 AM.

Please make sure residents have their cars cleared from garages and driveways on Wescott Trail by this time.

Wescott Trail garages should be left open by that time and my crew will shut them when they’re done with the area. They can also pull the release so my crew can open and shut them as needed.

Garbage on Wescott Trail will be cancelled. Residents can wait for a week, or bring the barrels to Wescott Square.

I will post signs on the driveways that will be affected that specific day but if you want to make it a blanket statement for all tenants feel free to do that.

We will be core filling on an as needed basis at a price of $700 per driveway that gets filled.
If we experience any poor subsoils beneath the asphalt, we will reach out to Pierre to observe and decide whether you would like us to sub-cut and install new rock. This will be charged at $55/Cubic Yard. One truckload is 10 cubic yards.

We will be removing concrete pads/tree roots that backflow into the stairs to help make sure water will not be trapped.

Monday and Tuesday will be excavation and grading to prepare for paving. Wednesday-Friday we will be paving the driveways. I will adjust my signs for the paving, so they have appropriate verbiage.

Please avoid any long-term parking on the new driveways for at least one week. Even longer would be preferred. We will not be responsible for any rutting or damages that may occur if heavy vehicles are parked on the new asphalt for a long time too quickly after paving. Tenants may drive over the asphalt and pull directly into their garage 24 hours after paving is completed.

We will coordinate with Pierre for any towing needs that we might have. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns otherwise we should be good to go!

The above repaving is for Wescott Trail driveways only. Wescott Trail will be scheduled for resurfacing in Mid-August 2022. Another announcement will be made available at a later date.

Repaving of Wescott Trail Driveways

Here is the schedule for all the driveway replacements on Wescott Trail, and area between 942/938/946/950 Wescott Trail. Wescott Square driveways are unaffected at this time. Weather permitting.

Assuming it starts on-time, Bitroads will need all driveways cleared of vehicles and other “stuff”.

The garage doors will need to be open, or the release handle release pulled, so that the door can be pulled open from the outside.

The garage doors need to be open so that BitRoads can use the heavy roller machine against the top of the driveway. Cars that are inside the garages will be landlocked until the project is over.

Parking will be a mess. Wescott Square and all Eagan Streets are available to park on to place the cars. The street are public. Just follow the rules.

If your car doesn’t run, now is a great time to get rid of it. If it runs, look for a place to park it now.

It will start on a Monday, so hopefully garbage barrels will not be a concern.

Any cars not moved will be towed, and can be retrieved by contacting Captains Towing in Burnsville.
